Candy Flowers

   This was one of the most unique projects undertaken.
Created for a highly original wedding theme that was eventually
featured in the internationally popular UK  based blog “Rock N Roll Bride”.
What you see are fully edible daisy styled flowers. Using two food safe
silicone molds, they were cast up by pouring an assortment of carefully
melted down candies at different intervals to create a layered effect.
The Jolly Rancher smoothie flavors and colors gave the piece a vibrancy
that looked great and tasted good too. To keep each flower properly in
place a holder was fashioned using a sturdy but very light weight inner
cone. Which was then wrap in a satin like fabric and the two varieties
of lace were stitched in. The bumble bee with painted smiley face and
glitter heart sticker were added for a whimsical feel!
